Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Winnow service operated by Licrat ("we", "us") at licrat.com, winnow.licrat.com and api.licrat.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

The Service

Winnow is an API that scores survey responses for quality and likely fraud using deterministic rules. Scores and flags are indicative guidance to support your own review; they are not a guarantee and do not constitute a definitive determination about any response or respondent. You are responsible for any decision you make based on the output.

Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys, and for keeping your keys confidential. Contact support@licrat.com if you believe a key has been compromised; you can also revoke and regenerate keys from your dashboard at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: exceed or circumvent rate limits or other technical restrictions; use the Service unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others; attempt to disrupt, probe or reverse-engineer the Service; or submit data you do not have the right to process. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to send us any personal data contained in the responses you submit.

Plans, billing and cancellation

The Service offers a free plan and a paid plan. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe at the price shown at purchase. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. We may change prices with notice, effective for future billing periods.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose.

Intellectual property

We own the Service, including the API, software and brand. You retain ownership of the data you submit and the results you receive, for your own use.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or to others.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
